Cancer Disparities Research Network is pleased to announce the availability of travel/career support scholarships to attend upcoming meetings or conferences. Currently we are offering travel awards to attend the upcoming AACR Science of Health Disparities conference in Atlanta, GA, from September 25-28, 2017.

Applications are due by Friday, August 11th.

Scholarships of up to $750 to support your travel are available. These scholarships are provided on a reimbursement basis only (e.g., you will have to pay for your travel up front).

About the Scholarships
The Early Career Travel Scholarship Program is intended to support regional scholars and investigators in career development opportunities related to cancer health disparities research and cancer research.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicant must be a Graduate Student, PhD Candidate, Post Doc or Early Stage Investigator at an institution within CDRN/GMaP Region 4. Priority will be given to those investigators who plan to apply for a Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities CURE (Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences) Award within 2 years.

NOTE: Investigators are considered early stage investigators if he/she is within 10 years of completing his/her terminal research degree or is within 10 years of completing medical residency (or equivalent).
